NUTRIENT DENSE OATMEAL
Ingredients:
1/4 cup rolled or steel cut oats
1/2 cup liquid (water or plant milk) if using rolled oats // 3/4 cup liquid if using steel cut
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tbsp nut butter
1/4 cup chopped nuts
2 tbsp seeds (pumpkin, sunflower, hemp, chia)
optional: fruit
Instructions:
add oats and liquid to pot and bring to boil
once boiling, lower to simmer and cover
once oats are cooked to preference (about 15min for rolled oats, about 30min for steel cut), remove from heat and top with nuts, seeds, spices, nut butter, fruit, etc.
