NUTRIENT DENSE OATMEAL

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup rolled or steel cut oats

  • 1/2 cup liquid (water or plant milk) if using rolled oats // 3/4 cup liquid if using steel cut

  • 1 tsp cinnamon

  • 1 tbsp nut butter

  • 1/4 cup chopped nuts

  • 2 tbsp seeds (pumpkin, sunflower, hemp, chia)

  • optional: fruit

Instructions:

  • add oats and liquid to pot and bring to boil

  • once boiling, lower to simmer and cover

  • once oats are cooked to preference (about 15min for rolled oats, about 30min for steel cut), remove from heat and top with nuts, seeds, spices, nut butter, fruit, etc.
